Key Responsibilities
As an Aircraft Groomer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of aircrafts, ensuring they are ready for their next set of travelers. Your main duties will include:
- Vacuuming: Thoroughly vacuum all areas of the aircraft, including the flight deck, galleys, and passenger seating areas.
- Trash Removal: Remove all trash and debris throughout the aircraft to maintain a clean environment.
- Surface Cleaning: Clean and wipe down all surfaces, including walls, trays, and kitchen areas.
- Stocking Supplies: Ensure that closets and cabinets are stocked with necessary items.
- Floor Maintenance: Mop and deodorize galley floors to ensure they are fresh and clean.
- Seat and Tray Organization: Organize seat pocket pamphlets, wipe down seat belts and trays, and adhere to proper seat appearance guidelines.
- Window Cleaning: Clean aircraft windows and overhead bins for a clear and pleasant view.
- Lavatory Sanitation: Fully clean and sanitize the aircraft lavatory.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and stock supply areas as needed.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure the smooth operation of aircraft grooming tasks.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience with industrial cleaning is an asset, though not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel, and push/pull for extended periods. The role involves lifting up to 20 lbs (32 kg) regularly.
- Independence: Must be capable of working independently, following instructions diligently, and executing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Security Clearance: Ability to acquire a Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada.
