St. Andrew’s Parks and Playground is seeking an Athletic Director to lead its Youth Sports recreation programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for empowering others and a desire to join a team that has been enriching lives through parks, recreation, and wellness for over 75 years. This role involves managing diverse athletic programs and requires strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Management: Oversee and manage youth sports programs with a participant base of 1,500+ across multiple seasons.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and provide direction to the athletic team.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to grow and diversify athletic offerings.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication among staff, participants, and stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure programs are run efficiently, meeting all safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in sports program management, including 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Must have experience managing programs of similar scale (1,500+ participants). Coaching experience alone is insufficient for this role.
