Overview:

Brunswick Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Clearing & Payments Administrator to join our Retail Banking Department. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our branch functions by managing and processing cheques and electronic transactions through our clearing system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process both cheques and electronic transactions to ensure accurate and timely clearing.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transaction processing tasks.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to manage workload efficiently.
  • Provide exemplary customer service, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Engage in effective listening and handle telephone communications with tact and diplomacy.
  • Adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience or strong understanding of the clearing process.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • History of providing outstanding member service in previous roles.
  • Experience with cash handling and balancing.
  • Ability to be bonded, which involves completing a bonding application process including criminal record and credit checks.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
