Overview:
Brunswick Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Clearing & Payments Administrator to join our Retail Banking Department. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our branch functions by managing and processing cheques and electronic transactions through our clearing system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and process both cheques and electronic transactions to ensure accurate and timely clearing.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all transaction processing tasks.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to manage workload efficiently.
- Provide exemplary customer service, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Engage in effective listening and handle telephone communications with tact and diplomacy.
- Adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment and work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience or strong understanding of the clearing process.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of integrity and a commitment to excellent customer service.
- History of providing outstanding member service in previous roles.
- Experience with cash handling and balancing.
- Ability to be bonded, which involves completing a bonding application process including criminal record and credit checks.
