Key Responsibilities:
- Cafeteria Operations: Under the direction of the Dining Hall Supervisor or Head Counterperson, ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of the cafeteria. This includes maintaining a tidy service area and assisting with the daily functions of the dining facility.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to students and staff by addressing their needs promptly and efficiently. Your role will involve interacting with a diverse range of individuals, so strong communication skills are essential.
- Communication: Utilize your ability to read and write in both English and French to facilitate effective communication within the bilingual environment of McGill University.
Requirements:
- Education: A High School Leaving Diploma is required.
- Experience: A minimum of six months of relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills in both English and French are necessary. Experience in hospitality is beneficial, as is the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of both French and English is crucial due to the bilingual nature of the university. Candidates must be able to work weekends and be available for the specified work schedule.
Work Schedule:
- Hours: The position requires 15.5 hours of work per week, specifically on Sundays and Saturdays.
- Shift Times: 14:15 to 22:00
