York University, located in Markham, ON, is seeking a Creative Technologies Gallery Coordinator specializing in sound and light technology. This role involves managing technical equipment for various events and theatre productions, ensuring that audio-visual, lighting, and projection systems operate smoothly.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Sound & Light Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Setup and Operation: Efficiently setting up and operating technical equipment for events and productions.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrating proficiency in using audio-visual, lighting, and projection equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Performing basic troubleshooting to resolve issues with technology and equipment.
- Collaboration: Working collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals.
- Time Management: Organizing and managing time effectively to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
Educational Requirements:
To qualify for this role, candidates must be enrolled as students at York University. While prior work experience in a related field is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.
