Overview:
UK Spice Cuisine in Merritt, BC, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Server to join our team. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing excellent service to our patrons in a busy restaurant setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet patrons warmly, present menus, and provide detailed information about menu items and daily specials. Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Order Management: Take food and beverage orders, relay them to kitchen and bar staff, and ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Payment Processing: Present bills to customers and accept various forms of payment including cash, credit/debit cards, and travelers’ cheques.
- Compliance: Enforce provincial and territorial liquor legislation and regulations, ensuring that all practices comply with legal requirements.
- Table Management: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs efficiently to maintain a pleasant dining environment.
- Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory for wines and wine glassware.
- Special Needs Assistance: Provide support to clients or guests with special needs, ensuring an inclusive and accommodating dining experience.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certifications: Valid Serving It Right certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an asset but not required.
