Role Overview:

As a Foodservice Sales Representative, you will be an essential part of our team, focusing on the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario. Reporting directly to an Area Sales Manager, your primary role will be to represent McCain’s foodservice products and promotional activities to various sectors including restaurants, hotels, schools, healthcare facilities, and other non-commercial operators. You will also work closely with our Foodservice Distribution Partners to build and maintain strong business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Territory Management: Develop and execute effective strategies for managing and covering your sales territory.
  2. Product Support: Offer expert assistance to foodservice operators, including conducting product demonstrations, managing product launches, overseeing promotions, and ensuring financial alignment.
  3. Contract Management: Handle end-user contracts and process payment requests efficiently.
  4. Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with distributors, providing support for buyer communications, sales, and issue resolution.
  5. New Business Development: Identify and secure new account opportunities to drive sales growth.
  6. CRM Utilization: Ensure effective use and maintenance of the CRM tool (Salesforce) for managing your territory.
  7. Administrative Duties: Complete necessary administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
  8. Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on budget and sales performance to ensure targets are met.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Sales, Business Management, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office Applications is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Experience: Prior experience in sales is advantageous, with a demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Attributes: An initiative-taker with a professional demeanor, capable of working independently and converting opportunities into tangible results.
  • Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is necessary. The role requires physical ability to lift and move items, stand for extended periods, and occasional travel.

  • Onboarding: Comprehensive training will be provided to familiarize you with McCain’s products and go-to-market strategies.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain in-depth knowledge of our potato and appetizer product lines.
  • Ongoing Support: Receive continuous support from various departments and guidance from our experienced field sales team, recognized leaders in the foodservice industry.
