Key Responsibilities:

  • Gym and Facility Management: As a Gym Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the gym, including the massage area, whirlpool/sauna, and common areas. This involves organizing and stocking supplies, conducting orientation sessions with staff, and ensuring a pleasant and well-maintained environment for both guests and employees.
  • Guest Services: You will handle reservations and requests for massages and fitness sessions through various communication channels, including in-person, email, and phone. Your role will also include managing communications between the massage department and other lodge departments, such as the front desk and housekeeping.
  • Team Leadership: Lead by example in maintaining company standards and policies, ensuring that all procedures are followed. Assist in training and encouraging staff to uphold cleanliness and security in the gym and massage facilities.
  • Crisis and Emergency Management: Participate in emergency planning and response activities, including simulations and actual emergencies as part of the emergency response and base rescue plans.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage guest relations, implement departmental policies, and handle general administrative tasks, including the use of resort booking and guest management software.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry with a focus on guest service, sales, and reservations. Experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Certifications: Must be a certified yoga instructor. Knowledge of massage therapy is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of hospitality principles, exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and resort booking software is required. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of German is an asset.
