Position Overview:
Chiquita Fresh North America is looking for an Institutional Marketing & Global Communications Lead to oversee corporate communications, public relations, and brand messaging. This role focuses on enhancing Chiquita’s brand reputation, strengthening corporate messaging, and engaging key partners and stakeholders. The position reports to the Marketing Director for the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Create and implement marketing strategies for corporate and institutional segments to meet business objectives.
  • Brand Positioning: Lead the development of brand positioning strategies aimed at corporate clients and institutional stakeholders.
  • Corporate Communications: Manage all aspects of corporate communications, including media relations, executive messaging, social media, and crisis communications related to corporate partnerships.
  • Global Guidelines: Develop global institutional guidelines, playbooks, and crisis management protocols, including onboarding for different market teams.
  • Public Relations: Act as the global PR lead and facilitate public relations activities for the Americas.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to produce marketing collateral, thought leadership content, and campaigns tailored to corporate audiences.
  • Media and CSR: Handle media inquiries, oversee corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and manage relationships with corporate clients and industry associations.
  • Internal Communication: Develop internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in strategic communications or impact communications within a global organization.
  • Skills:
    • Strong media experience and established relationships with global media, particularly those covering sustainability and impact.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and writing skills.
    • Ability to handle complex information and communicate effectively under tight deadlines.
    • Strong collaboration skills and a proactive mindset.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on innovation and building strong relationships.

Physical Environment:

  • Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled office.
  • Involves sitting for long periods, using office equipment, and occasional physical activities like stooping and reaching.
  • Must pass a drug test in accordance with Florida Statute 440.102.
