Job Overview
Harris Computer Systems is seeking a Junior Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. This remote position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who are passionate about software development and eager to contribute to our Service-Link product. The role requires collaboration with the Support Manager and end-users to understand their requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Support Analyst, you will:
- Analyze and Troubleshoot: Investigate product stability issues reported by clients to ensure seamless performance.
- Provide Second Line Support: Assist the Customer Care team by addressing complex support inquiries and providing timely updates on ongoing work.
- Maintain Deadlines: Manage development deadlines effectively and provide accurate estimates for project timelines.
- Code Quality Assurance: Utilize your programming skills to deliver high-quality, reusable code that meets industry standards.
- Client Communication: Interact with both internal and external clients to ensure changes meet their requirements.
- Participate in Code Reviews: Engage in code review sessions and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline.
- Proficiency in Java or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with source control tools, particularly GIT.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and grow.
Preferred Skills
Candidates with the following skills will stand out:
- Experience in network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and XSLT.
- Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services).
