Responsibilities
As a Pre-Board Screening Officer, your primary duties will include:
- Screening Passengers and Belongings: Conduct thorough screenings of travelers and their luggage to ensure that prohibited items do not enter secure areas of the airport.
- Access Control: Monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry.
- Emergency Response: Respond to alarms and report any suspicious activities, illegal acts, or violations of security protocols.
- Participation in Emergency Operations: Be actively involved in emergency operations and drills, helping to maintain a safe environment for all airport users.
- Continuous Monitoring: Stay alert to any potential security threats, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Pre-Board Screening Officer position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Criminal Record: Applicants must have a clean criminal record and be eligible for a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) security clearance.
