- Price Management: Verify that the correct prices are displayed for each product. This requires attention to detail to ensure that price tags are accurate and updated as necessary.
- Compliance with Food Safety Standards: Adhere to food safety regulations by monitoring refrigeration temperatures, calibrating thermometers, recording temperatures, and handling food in compliance with Walmart’s guidelines. Following proper food hygiene and sanitation procedures is critical to maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Merchandising: Implement Walmart’s merchandising strategies, which include placing safety devices on items as needed, setting up and stocking shelves and flexible modules, and introducing new shelf setups for promotional items.
- Customer Service: Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Assist them with questions about products, help them locate items, and offer assistance with any produce-related inquiries.
- Health and Safety Guidelines: Follow health and safety procedures in the produce area. This includes using the proper equipment for stocking, keeping aisles clear of hazards, and complying with safety rules to prevent accidents.
- Order and Stock Management: Process orders, markdowns, and shrinkage of produce. Ensure that products are properly displayed, tagged, and labeled. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Cleaning Procedures: Follow Walmart’s cleaning and sanitation processes. This involves cleaning shelves, refrigerators, and displays regularly to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the produce section.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Produce Stocker position, candidates must:
