Overview

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a division of General Dynamics, is seeking a Quality Analyst Associate to support the Vertical Launching System (VLS) program in Chesapeake, VA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring compliance with NAVSEA quality standards and contributing to a safer, smarter future through quality management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Apply Quality Standards: Develops and applies quality standards that align with both company and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and Manage Test Plans: Manages installation project test plans and quality controls for multiple simultaneous projects, including regular surveillance and enforcement of the Quality Assurance Workbench (QAWB) and associated technical work.
  • Collaborate with Management: Works closely with the management team to ensure project leads have accurate work-scope descriptions in QAWB.
  • Verify Compliance: Ensures that all qualifications, certifications, and training accreditations are current and compliant for both GDIT and subcontractor workforces.
  • Monitor Processes: References project schedules to verify planned event coordination, inspections, checkpoints, and Process Control Procedures (PCP) are adequately organized and supported.
  • Provide Feedback: Offers feedback to the VLS Program Management team and participates in resource planning discussions.
  • Investigate Non-Compliance: Conducts fact-finding and investigative support to identify sources of non-compliance and implements preventive measures.

Qualifications

  • Required Experience: 4+ years of related experience in NAVSEA Standard items, Quality Management System, and ISO 9001:2015.
  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to interpret NAVSEA drawings and technical work-scope. Proficiency in industry-related technical guidance references.
  • Security Clearance: A Secret clearance may be required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive familiarity with all current NAVSEA Standard Items, strong interpretation and communication skills, and the ability to implement solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, U.S. Navy, and client personnel.
