GSL Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Restaurant Server/Bartender to join their team at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC. This part-time position offers an hourly wage between $17.40 and $18.00. Job Responsibilities
As a Server and/or Bartender, you will be an integral part of The Manhattan Point Restaurant’s success. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Customer Service: Greet and seat customers, take and process orders efficiently, and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
- Bartending Duties: Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails and wine. Your knowledge of wine will be an asset in making informed recommendations.
- Upselling: Utilize your skills in upselling to maximize sales and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clear tables, clean work areas, and ensure the restaurant maintains a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
Work Environment and Conditions
- Flexible Shifts: Work hours are event-based, offering flexibility. Availability on nights and weekends is preferred.
- Dynamic Setting: Enjoy working in a lively and positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and fun.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Previous experience as a server or bartender in a bar & grill setting is highly valued. Familiarity with the “Square POS” system is a plus.
- Certification: A valid “Serving It Right” certification is required to ensure responsible beverage service.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent customer service, and a good sense of humor are essential. Experience in upselling and wine knowledge will enhance your application.
