Key Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Scenic Artist, your core duties will include:
- Painting and Finishing: Prepare, paint, and finish scenic elements according to provided plans or requests, ensuring adherence to Atomic Design and client standards.
- Maintenance: Keep the paint floor organized and clean, and maintain all painting tools.
- Inventory Management: Accurately track and record inventory usage.
- Production Timelines: Ensure scenic elements are prepared and delivered on time, maintaining high-quality finishes even under tight deadlines.
- Safety Culture: Contribute to developing a safety-conscious work environment.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Artistic Knowledge: Familiarity with theater terms and procedures, along with the ability to create textures and faux finishes.
- Technical Skills: Experience with rolling and brushing; airless spraying and HVLP experience are a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Time Management: Proven skills in managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges that arise during projects.

This position primarily involves working in a manufacturing environment, requiring both physical stamina and artistic skills. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary, often on short notice.
Compensation and Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $18.00 – $20.00
- Shift: 8-hour shifts, with overtime and weekend availability as needed.
- Location: In-person at Atomic Design, Inc. in Lititz, PA.
