Conditions of Employment
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.

- Medical Clearance: A pre-employment medical examination must be passed, and medical standards must be maintained.
Qualifications
- General Eligibility: Must meet all qualification requirements by the vacancy announcement closing date. Ineligible if:
- Failed a Pre-Hire Background Investigation from TSA Personnel Security within the last 2 years.
- Failed the Federal Air Marshal Assessment Battery (FAB) within the last 12 months.
- Failed the Panel Interview during the Field Office Assessment for the FAM position within the last 12 months.
- Over the age of 37 without proof of Federal civilian law enforcement retirement-covered position.
- Qualification Requirements for SV-G Pay Band (Equivalent to GS-5/7/9):
- Experience: Three years of progressively responsible general experience, with one year equivalent to GS-4, demonstrating problem analysis, data gathering, and effective communication.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Combination of Education and Experience: Combinations of post-high school education and experience that meet the total qualification requirements.
