Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team at our Coteau-du-Lac, QC location. This is a full-time position that involves working on a 10-hour shift schedule. As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that products are processed, handled, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
Shift Schedule
- Shift Hours: Friday to Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Flexibility is required, as occasional changes in shift timing may occur based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Worker at FedEx Supply Chain, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Order Processing: You will handle and pick products using either a Vocollect or WMS (SOGE) system. This includes the preparation and dispatch of products based on customer orders.
- Product Handling: Sort, palletize, and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring all products are properly labeled and accounted for.
- RF Scanner Operation: Use an RF scanner to scan, apply labels, and enter data into the inventory management system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tracking products.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse handling equipment such as electric pallet trucks, counterbalance forklifts, clamp carts, and manual pallet trucks.
- Safety and Compliance: Always adhere to FedEx Supply Chain’s strict safety and security procedures, ensuring that all activities are carried out in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- General Warehouse Duties: You will be expected to perform additional tasks as assigned by management, which may include general housekeeping and inventory management responsibilities.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma (DES) or recognized equivalency is required.
- Experience: Less than one year of experience is required, though experience in a similar warehouse environment is an asset.
- Teamwork Skills: Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating a cooperative and collaborative attitude.
- Forklift Experience: Proficiency in safely operating a manual or electric pallet truck, counterbalance forklift, or grab cart is a must.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and accuracy when handling products, labeling, and data entry.
- Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with basic computer operations and inventory management systems (RF scanners) is an asset.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift loads ranging from 20 to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of heavier items up to 99 pounds. The ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks is required.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and interpret information accurately.
- Ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Physical ability to handle extended periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
- Manual dexterity for handling small and large items.
