Job Description:
As a Warehouse Worker at FedEx Supply Chain, your primary responsibilities will involve the accurate receiving, moving, storing, and shipping of products. You will work the evening shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with an hourly wage of $19 plus a $0.80 shift differential. The role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of product safety, quality, and legality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Handling: Accurately select products according to customer orders, and load and unload items onto delivery vehicles or pallets.
- Shipping Preparation: Prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of items are loaded and shipped according to specifications.
- Operational Efficiency: Perform picking and packing duties efficiently, utilizing Radio Frequency (RF) terminals for tasks such as picking, quality control, inventory management, and shipping.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure inventory accuracy. Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the warehouse equipment and materials clean and orderly. Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all policies and procedures. Inspect products for accuracy and damage, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Ideally 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) technology is preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong sense of urgency. Ability to work well in a team and provide exceptional customer service.
- Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Ability to follow procedures, read and interpret information, and perform mathematical calculations. Must be capable of sitting, walking, and standing for up to 10 hours a day, and performing physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
The role involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment where physical stamina is required. Duties may include crawling, squatting, climbing, twisting, bending, stooping, pushing, or pulling. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as distinguishing colors and depth perception.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly Wage: $19 per hour, with an additional $0.80 shift differential for evening shifts.
- Pay Range: $19.00 (Min) – $19.00 (Mid) – $27.02 (Max) per hour, depending on location and experience.
